Well, there was no good reason for that. I&#8217;m only half way through the shipments, and I am having a BLAST! Here&#8217;s a look at the first club patterns which featured the fantastically cashmere-enhanced, utterly squishable <a title=\"String Theory Fiber Arts\" href=\"http:\/\/www.stringtheoryyarn.com\/home.php\" target=\"_blank\">String Theory Fiber Arts<\/a> <a title=\"Caper Sock Yarn\" href=\"http:\/\/www.stringtheoryyarn.com\/home.php?cat=99\" target=\"_blank\">Caper Sock yarn<\/a> in the exclusive Solas colorway.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cookiea.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/haleakala.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-89\" title=\"Haleakala\" src=\"http:\/\/cookiea.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/haleakala-332x500.jpg\" alt=\"Haleakala\" width=\"332\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"http:\/\/cookiea.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/haleakala-332x500.jpg 332w, http:\/\/cookiea.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/haleakala.jpg 426w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 332px) 100vw, 332px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Haleakala pattern has two versions, a straight one that takes the lace panel straight down the foot and an angled one that shifts the gusset decreases, creating a V-shape across the top of the foot. Alice Yu aka <a title=\"Socktopus\" href=\"http:\/\/www.socktopus.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Socktopus <\/a>modeled these back in January, and I&#8217;ll be seeing her shortly in London for <a title=\"Knit Nation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.knitnation.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\">Knit Nation<\/a>! And here&#8217;s a look at both shipment patterns, Haleakala (angled version) and  Ripple Leaf.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cookiea.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/feb.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-90\" title=\"Haleakala and Ripple Leaf\" src=\"http:\/\/cookiea.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/feb-394x500.jpg\" alt=\"Haleakala and Ripple Leaf\" width=\"394\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"http:\/\/cookiea.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/feb-394x500.jpg 394w, http:\/\/cookiea.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/feb.jpg 505w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 394px) 100vw, 394px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One thing I love about the club is that there are two patterns for every shipment and one skein of yarn. Some members are using the extra pattern to work on stash yarn, so I get to see the patterns in non-club yarns too. <a href=\"http:\/\/knittingbeforeknittingwascool.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Francoise <\/a>knit these hot pink Ripple Leaf socks using Malabrigo yarn:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/projects\/Francoise\/ripple-leaf-socks\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Francoise's Ripple Leaf Socks\" src=\"http:\/\/images4.ravelrycache.com\/uploads\/Francoise\/56765586\/DSCN4606_medium2.JPG\" alt=\"Francoise's Ripple Leaf Socks\" width=\"394\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/people\/Saccade\" target=\"_blank\">Saccade <\/a>knitted these <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/projects\/Saccade\/ripple-leaf-socks\" target=\"_blank\">Milkweed Ripple Leafs<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/8205654@N03\/5497752608\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Saccade's Milkweed Ripple Leafs\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5177\/5497752608_b9a456a1ac.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Both patterns will be available to non-club-members in February  2012.
